How We Work With the Body
Our work focuses on how the body moves as a whole, rather than isolating individual areas.
The areas below are considered together to help us understand how your body is organised, how you move and how you manage load and force.
-
Posture provides information about how your body is currently organised in space and how different regions relate to one another.
Rather than viewing posture as “good” or “bad”, we use it as part of the assessment to understand the strategies your body is currently using.
-
Fascia is connective tissue that forms a continuous network throughout the body, surrounding and connecting muscles, bones and other structures.
Changes or restrictions within this tissue may influence tissue relationships, movement options and how force is distributed through the body.
-
Biomechanics looks at how the body moves and manages force.
We consider how different areas work together during movement, how force is transferred through the body and the strategies your body uses as movement demands change.
